The Western Regional Sales Manager will work under the direction of the Regional Sales Director to build customer relationships and drive top line sales in a service oriented environment. Organizational skills and communication skills are critical. Active and consistent use of the Customer Relationship Management (CRM) database is required. The Regional Sales Manager will manage customer expectations through effective communication. He/She will champion the internal process of proposal development, execution, and project management through effective communication with internal teams. The successful candidate will present sales information and host customer visits to the company site in San Diego, CA. Responsibilities will include participation in sales meetings, conferences, and tradeshows.
Requirements: 
The qualified candidate will have a Bachelors Degree from an accredited college or university and 5-7 years of relevant sales experience. Previous work experience with a Contract Manufacturing Organization or with the development, manufacturing, or analytical testing of sterile biotechnology products is required. Additionally, he/she must be detail-oriented with strong written and verbal communication skills. He/She must have the ability to work independently, within prescribed guidelines, or as a team member. He/She must be proficient with Microsoft Office applications.
This position will represent the Western region of the United States; applicants must live on the West Coast or in the Chicago area. Frequent travel, estimated at 30%- 40% will be required.
