Description:
The successful candidate will be responsible for supervising biologics manufacturing in a cGMP production environment. He/She will work under the direction of Manufacturing Management to schedule production and meet project timelines. The Manufacturing Supervisor will ensure operators are trained and accurately follow standard operating procedures and other documents used in upstream manufacturing. The Manufacturing Supervisor will have a thorough knowledge of the operation and maintenance of manual and automated manufacturing equipment. He/She will ensure the cGMP equipment is properly maintained. The Manufacturing Supervisor will interface with Quality Control, Quality Assurance, Validation, Project Management, Materials Management, and other internal departments. He/She will demonstrate a thorough understanding of the technical aspects and cGMP procedures and train manufacturing operators. This position may act as a lead on manufacturing processes
Requirements:
The qualified candidate will have a Bachelors Degree in a Life Sciences discipline or equivalent work experience and four to ten (4-10) years of relevant experience in a manufacturing or laboratory environment is required. The qualified candidate will be detail-oriented with strong written and verbal communication, organizational, self-management, and leadership skills. Flexibility and initiative to work individually or in a team environment is necessary. Previous experience in a leadership role in a cGMP production environment is a must.
